Hike to Ngardmau Waterfall

The Ngardmau Waterfall – it’s a long, hot walk down to the falls (see stairs photo!) but it’s a stunningly scenic route. (There is also a zip line option and a monorail [see photo], but you’ve got to be pretty comfortable with heights and steep inclines.) Along the walk there is a spur trail that follows an old Japanese railroad. The rails are unusually close together, 1.5 feet apart.  

Near the falls the trail merges into a  wide stone expanse of a river.
